Collect payment for duties, taxes, and fees from consignees.
Zonos Collect provides a hosted payment page where consignees can securely pay customs duties, taxes, and fees for their international shipments. The payment process is designed to be transparent, secure, and accessible across multiple languages and countries.
When you create a Collect quote, your customer receives an automated email with a secure payment link and clear instructions. The email shows your company information alongside shipment details to establish legitimacy and help consignees understand the source of their shipment.
The payment cart displays transaction details and a complete breakdown of duties, taxes, and collect fees, but keeps your product pricing private. This transparency helps customers understand exactly what they're paying for while protecting your pricing strategy.
Consignees can:
View detailed breakdown of all duties, taxes, and fees
See shipment information and sender details
Complete payment using secure payment methods
Access the page in their preferred language
Supported countries and languages
The Collect cart URL automatically detects the customer's browser language and displays content appropriately, supporting 42 languages across 49 countries. Payment links expire after 3 months, giving customers ample time to complete payment at their convenience.
Note: When a consignee visits the Collect cart page, it checks their browser's language settings. If that language is available, the invoice will be shown to the customer in their preferred language.
When completing payment, consignees have access to secure payment methods powered by Stripe. The system handles all payment processing securely without requiring additional implementation from merchants.
Once payment is completed:
The consignee receives payment confirmation
Zonos Collect immediately converts your quote to an order
The contact information you provided when setting up your Zonos account will be displayed to the consignee. Your company name, address, phone number, contact email, and website are shown on the payment page and in email communications.
If you provide sender contact information when creating the quote, this information can also be displayed on the payment page to help establish the legitimacy of the shipment.
